Larry Bischke

Florence, SC- Lawrence “ Larry”  Bischke, 75, passed away Monday, Dec. 16, 2019.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Eastside Christian Church.  Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.  The family will have a time of visitation from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. before the service at the church located at 3541 E. Palmetto Street, Florence.

Mr. Bischke was born in Washington, DC, the son of the late Ruben John and Margaret Elizabeth Curles Bischke.  He served his country in the US Army. Larry retired after thirty-four years of service with GE Radio/Medical in Florence. He was a member of Eastside Christian Church.  He was a deacon and served in various offices of the church.  Larry was a Volunteer with the Wendy Hill Fire Department for forty-five years achieving the rank of Assistant Fire Chief. He was involved with the Honduras Missions Team since 2007. 

Surviving are his wife of forty-four years, Melody Richbourg Bischke; two sons,Jimmy (Cheryl) Jolly, Louie Jolly; a brother, Tommy (Gennie) Bischke; two sisters, Gale (Johnny) Hobson, Joy Graham; two grandchildren, Whitney Jolly, Amanda (Corie) Basnight and four great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Cindy Matthews.
