John Sharp, Sr. Obituary

Lynchburg, SC – John Frederick Sharp, Sr., 67, died on Oct 19, 2018 from injuries sustained  in a motorcycle accident.

Funeral services will Tuesday,Oct. 23, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Elliott Baptist Church,Elliott, SC,with burial to follow at Friendship Cemetery in the Pleasant Grove Community,Lynchburg,SC.The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, Florence and at other times at the home, 2870 Shiloh Raccoon Rd, Lynchburg.

John was born in Bath, New York. He was a member of Elliott Baptist Church.  He was the music leader and served as a deacon. John was a Tool and Die Maker before retiring from ESAB.

Surviving are his wife of twenty-eight years, Wendy Coleman Sharp; two sons, John F.(Shawna) Sharp, Jr., Justin (Shelly) Sharp; sister, Linda Sharp; a step-brother, Mark Sharp; his grandchildren, Brandon Sharp, James Sharp and two step-children;  his mother-in-law, Carolyn Coleman; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joe and Mae Altman, J.D. and Laura Coleman, Ted and Dianne Coleman, Jay and Cindy Coleman.
 
Memorials may be made to the John Sharp Fund, C/O Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, 4210 W.Palmetto Street, Florence, SC  29501 or to the Friendship Cemetery Fund, 2880 Shiloh Raccoon Road, Lynchburg, SC  29080.
