Darlington, SC – Ernest S. Bramlette, 83, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  Burial with honors will follow at the Florence National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. . The family will have a time of visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday before the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Bramlette was born in Florence County, the son of the late Roy, Sr., and Mary Logan Bramlett.He was retired from the US Navy with twenty-two years of active service.  He later retired from Dixie Cup as a machinist.  He and his wife attended Middendorf Church of God in Hartsville.  He loved going to church and spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Louise Gerald Bramlette;  one son, Thomas L. Bramlette; step-sons,  Jimmy (Viola) Copeland, J.R. (Bekki) Barr; one daughter, Tamra S. Bramlett; step-daughters,  Penny McIntosh, Jessica Barr;  three grandsons, Thomas L , II (Kelsey) Bramlette, Andy Bramlette, Matt Bramlette; eight step-grandchildrem, Bayley, Cody, Austin and Zoey Barr, Savannah Gandy, Kylie Bonds, Andrew Garcia, Amanda Garcia; two brothers, Luther (Joyce) Bramlett, Jimmy (Paula) Bramlett; two sisters, Dianne (G.C.) Hatchell, Betty Pigate; sisters-in-law, Josey Bramlett and Carrie Carpenter; two great-grandchildren, Rylee K. Bramlette, Thomas L. Bramlette,III; lots of nieces, nephews and friends that he loved dearly.   Mr Bramlette was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Betty Jean Bramlette, sister, Lottie Richardson, brother, Roy “Sonny” Bramlett.
