Bill White

Timmonsville, SC. – Henry C. Billy White, 87, passed away in the early morning of February 20, 2019.

A memorial service with honors will be held at the National Cemetery in Florence on February 25, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.  The family will speak to those attending after the service at the cemetery.

Bill was born in Hartsville, SC, the son of the late Alfred B. and Maggie Jane McElveen White.  He was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church.   Bill served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War.  Before retiring, Bill was the manager of Eden’s Truck Center in Florence.   He enjoyed life to the fullest, loved family, friends, good fishing weather and at the end of the day getting together with friends and “shagging the night away.”   He was a member of the Blue Water Fishing Club and Ducks Unlimited.

He was married to the late Peggy Joyce Mixon White.

Surviving are a daughter, Kristi (David) DeWitt; son, Kim (Mary) White; four grandchildren, Keith (Amy) Holloran, Jamie (Candace) DeWitt, Kimberly White, Mary Elizabeth (Gene) Boyce; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
